Reflections
Here you’ll find a collection of ongoing meanderings. Some of these are inspired by times spent with clients, some have been written to support Hammock Counselling - the low-cost counselling service I also run. Eitherway, I cannot emphasise how much the individuals I work with inspire thoughts and reflections. It’s testament to the profession that we (the therapists) don’t have the answers - and also hits home how that’s definitely not the point!
Instead, I bear witness to individuals who possess the courage and desire to change their lives, in spite of the many things they’re up against. Instead, I stand alongside, and go with.
It should be said, I began this page with the best of intentions; to write something on a regular and frequent basis. But like so many good plans, reality gets in the way. And as I’m so often encouraging clients to be kinder to themselves, I’d be a hypocrite if I didn’t also try the same. So, it’ll grow in its own time.
In the meantime, however, I hope you find something of value somewhere in the following.
Thanks, and take care.
